Starting from Florence, you will be taken to Siena by an English speaking driver. Once in Siena you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the ancient town including Piazza del Campo, the main square where the famous Palio horse race takes place every year, and quieter backstreets where the history of the Contrade, the 17 medieval city districts that compete against each other in the Palio, will be unfolded.
The journey continues to San Gimignano, famous for its "medieval skyscrapers", high walls and narrow streets. After some free time in San Gimignano, you will reach a prestigious Chianti wine estate. This boutique winery will be the ideal setting for a relaxing break during the day, letting you savor a delicious Tuscan lunch and taste some great Chianti wines, while learning about wine production and visiting their cellars.
Then, a quick stop in the square of the medieval town of Impruneta will give you the opportunity to discover the ancient art of terracotta, being this the capital of this material. (The terracotta tiles used to build the Brunelleschi's dome in Florence came from here).
At last, you will reach Pisa where you will explore its famous Piazza dei Miracoli, a magnificent square with the incredible cathedral and baptistery, all dominated by the world-renowned Leaning Tower. Please note that the tower tickets are not included in this tour. If the line to climb up the tower is not too long, you will have a chance to buy the tickets on the spot.
Meeting point will be at a central location. Details will be provided in final documents.
