Begin with an exterior visit of Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the Medici family’s first residence and business headquarters during the 1400s. This historic palace was the birthplace of Lorenzo the Magnificent and the home where Michelangelo stayed as a young artist under the Medici patronage.
Continue with an exterior visit of the Basilica of San Lorenzo, commissioned to Brunelleschi by Cosimo il Vecchio de’ Medici in the early Renaissance period. You will then visit the magnificent Medici Chapels, including the Chapel of the Princes with its extraordinary baroque decoration in semi-precious stones, and Michelangelo’s New Sacristy, renowned for its unique architecture and masterful sculptures displayed in their original setting.
Next, enjoy a visit inside Palazzo Vecchio, Florence’s historic town hall. Admire the impressive Salone dei Cinquecento, the city’s largest hall, richly decorated with grand historical scenes celebrating Medici power. Both Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo were involved in the hall’s original artistic planning and decoration.

Today, visit the home of the famous leaning tower - Pisa! In the heart of the city is Piazza dei Miracoli where you will simultaneously see the Leaning Tower, Baptistery, Cathedral, and the Monumental Cemetery. Each of these buildings are stunning in their own way and have unique stories to tell. Be sure to take a photo of you holding up the leaning tower!
Then, you will get 30 minutes to climb the nearly 300 steps of the leaning tower and take spectacular pictures from the top!
