Explore two of the most picturesque villages on the Italian Riviera and taste some local specialties including a mouth-watering gelato!
From Santa Margherita Ligure you will board a local train for a short ride to the fishing village of Camogli. Following your private guide, you will take a
leisurely stroll from the promenade to the small harbor and the oldest part of the town, perched on a rock. Camogli is the birthplace of the Ligurian focaccia bread and a visit here won’t be completed without a taste of it. You will stop at one of the most famous bakeries in town and taste three different savory versions of focaccia: plain, with olives, and with cheese.
Then, return to Santa Margherita by train. Take a walk in the elegant coastal town among painted facades and lush gardens and taste some of the local specialties including the basil pesto sauce, the vegetable pies, the gelato called "pinguino" (the penguin), which is dipped chocolate over your choice of ice cream.
If you are staying at a centrally located hotel, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby. Otherwise, a meeting point will be arranged.
