Private – Capri & Positano by private boat - Excursion from Sorrento

Availability: Daily*

Duration: 6 hours

*This tour operates from March to November.

Embark in the morning on your private boat from Sorrento and cruise to Capri. You will see gorgeous villas and coves, crumbling Norman towers and huge rock formations jutting out of the sea, as well as Naples and Mt. Vesuvius looming over the bay. Then, you will sail to Positano. The view of Positano from the sea is one of the most famous and colorful views in the world. Time permitting, stop to explore the cobblestone alleyways weaving up the mountain, lined with boutiques.
Here are some highlights of the tour:
The Blue Grotto: Known for its electric blue light, it was once the private bath house of Roman Emperor Tiberius before it was abandoned for centuries, feared to be cursed.
Green Grotto: Turquoise waters with a natural arc leading to the other side of the grotto, opening to what some say is the best swimming lagoon on the island.
White Grotto: Named for the white stalactites that adorn the cave, it sits directly below a higher grotto that has a natural rock formation in the shape of the Virgin Mary.
I Faraglioni: The symbol of Capri and the backdrop to many designer ads, most notably D&G Light Blue perfume. The captain may even boat through the center hole of one of the rocks!
Nerano: A small fishing village on the Amalfi Coast and home of the "Blue Flag" which is awarded to various beaches under strict criteria, signifying high quality and cleanliness of the sea.
Li Galli Islands: A set of private islands off the coast of Positano where Ulysses heard the song of the sirens as he passed through. There is an underwater nature reserve in the middle of the archipelago and a beautiful view of Positano as well as Capri.
One of the best parts about chartering a boat is that the captain is a local of the area. While he is not a licensed tour guide, he is knowledgeable of the area and will be more than happy to provide information on what you are seeing as well as insider tips on things to do.

Meeting point will be at a central location. Details will be provided in final documents.
