Day 1: Friday - Overnight Flight from USA to Italy
Day 2: Saturday - Arrive in Genoa, Italy
The first night of your extraordinary vacation begins in scenic Genoa, both so that you are able to explore the treasures of this great Ligurian capital and to ensure that you arrive on time for the MS Splendida's departure! An Italy Vacation's representative will meet you at the airport and transport you and your bags to your hotel. Genoa is beautifully situated on the Mediterranean and offers a multitude of treasures, including its Via Aurea (Golden Avenue), delightful beaches, and a world-famous gastronomy. And don't worry: as our guests, we'll handle transporting your luggage to the hotel, leaving you with the sole tasks of relaxing and having fun!
Day 3: Sunday - Set Sail and 1st stop in Barcelona, Spain
This morning you wake up to the joys of Barcelona, the grand capital of Catalonia. Its ancient and modern heritages form a cultural braid that manifests itself in stunning examples throughout the city - art, architecture, and delectable cuisine. Be sure not to miss the fascinating work of Gaudi - Barcelona's highly acclaimed architect.
Day 4: Monday - At Sea

Day 5: Tuesday - La Valletta, Malta
Despite being a World Heritage Site, La Valletta is a little known gem of the Medditerranean. This city not only has a plethora of Baroque architecture, it also has cafes and wine bars at almost every corner making it a great city to tour, relax and enjoy!
Day 6: Wednesday - Messina, Sicily (Italy)
Through Messina you can explore the best of Sicily, from the still-active volcano Mt. Etna to the gorgeous resort town of Taormina.
Day 7: Thursday - Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Dock at Civitavecchia and in just an hour you can reach Rome and spend the day taking in the Eternal City.
Day 8: Friday - Marsailles, France
Here in France, the joys are similar and as sublime as in their Italian counter-part. Be sure to soak up all if its natural splendor on the beach, experience the charms of its scenic town centers, and most importantly of all, to taste the delectable flavors of southern French food and wine!
Day 9: Saturday - Genoa, Italy
And finally, after a voyage that has been the very epitome of luxury and relaxation, we return to Genoa. It is sad saying adieu to our magnificent Splendida, but now it is time to turn our attention to the rest of our vacation filled with the delights of Italy's beautiful scenery and cuisine. We suggest adding a few nights in Genoa or any city of your choice after the cruise ends.
