Day by Day Itinerary:
Tour Departs on Thursday- Returns on Friday April- October

 Day1 :  Flight from USA to Florence via Rome
Alitalia flight  5:25 pm departure.

 
Day 1: Friday                 Arrival Florence airport.

Welcome to Italy! Arrival with private bus transfer from Florence airport to your 4* hotel in Florence. Rest of the day at leisure for individual activities and to start exploring this wonderful city. Meet up with the girls for

Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Florence. (Breakfast/Dinner)

*Trattoria Borgo San Lorenzo, close to Piazza del Duomo, a typical  small trattoria spcializing in Tuscan cuisine.

 

Day 2:  Saturday           Full Day Tour of Cinque Terre  (Collective Group Tour)

Breakfast in hotel. Today you will have a Full Day tour in English of 5 Terre with an English speaking guide. A tour in a corner of paradise, a unique area subdivided into 5 villages suspended on steep cliffs overlooking the sea. Your tour sets off in the early morning to La Spezia with a boat transfer. After a walk through the characteristic hamlet, the tour continues to Monterosso, an old fishing town considered the pearl of “Cinque Terre” . Your last stop will be in Vernazza, a small fishing town centre developed around a little harbor hollowed in rock that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Up the steep steps and through the narrow “Carrugi” alleys of the town you reach the main square overlooking the sea, where you can admire the hectic activities of the fishermen. Evening and dinner at leisure. Overnight in Florence.  (Breakfast)

***In the event that Cinque Terre cannot be visited due to the flooding damage, we will offer an alternate tour this day. 

Day 3:  Sunday            Full Day Tour of Chianti

Breakfast in hotel. Coach at disposal for Full Day Tour. Today you will have a full day tour of the most famous countrysides of Chianti. Meet with your local English speaking tour guide and enjoy a pleasant visit of the most caractheristic town of Chianti area such us Radda in Chianta, Castellina in Chianti and Montepulciano. You will have a fabolous wine tasting in a local farmhouse followed by a traditional Tuscan lunch. Chianti is known to have one of the best wines in the world. Private transfer back to your hotel. Dinner in local restaurant in Florence to taste typical Tuscany products. Overnight in Florence. (Breakfast, Lunch)

 

Day 4: Monday             Florence – Naples - Sorrento  (Train)                    

Breakfast in hotel. Private bus transfer from Florence hotel to Florence railway station.  Take 1^st class train from Florence to Naples.  Arrive in bustling Naples private bus for a quick sightseeing of the city a visit to taste the original Neopolitan Pizza Margherita in one of the local pizzerias . Before we arrive in  Sorrento, we’ll take a ride for a short stop in Positano to admire views from this picturesque town.  Check in hotel. Free time to relax or shop. Dinner at a local restaurant within walking distance of the hotel with typical local products.

Day 5: Tuesday             Full Day Capri (Optional Anacapri )

Breakfast in hotel. Roundtrip private transfer from your hotel in Sorrento to port, embark on a hydrofoil (roundtrip) to Capri. Full; day at disposal to visit the island on your own. You can choose to visit the beach, take in some shopping and a perfect outdoor lunch, or head up to Anacapri and even take the chair lift to the highest point on the island.

We’ll meet up to take the last hydrofoil back to Sorrento in the early evening.

Overnight in Sorrento. (Breakfast)

 

Day 6:Wednesday       Amalfi Coast Day Trip ( Amalfi, Ravello, Positano)  

Breakfast in hotel. We’ll head out for a full day visit of the Amalfi Coast for 8 hours. We’ll visit the town of Amalfi, (I know we promised no churches or musuems, but you really do need to see this one!) then up to the amazing town of Ravello with it’s amazing views.  We’ll head back north to stop in perfect Positano to enjoy the later afternoon and then back to the hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.  **If you wish, you can remain in Postano longer for the evening and make your own way back to the hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 7: Thursday           Cooking Class

Breakfast in hotel.  Free time during the day to shop or sightsee.

We’ll be picked up for our cooking class at the Espiridi resort. We’ll get to prepare our own meal this afternoon and surely have a lot of laughs.  Back to the hotel for our last evening in Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento (Breakfast, Cooking Class as Dinner)

 

Day 8: Friday                 Departure

Early Breakfast in hotel. Private transfer from your hotel in Sorrento to Naples airport. Flight back to New York via Rome. Say farewell to Italy and to your new friends until you meet again!
