Learn to make typical Italian dishes like stuffed calamari, gnocchi, and artichokes in the Sorrentine style with the freshest local ingredients. Classes are help in a large kitchen built especially for this class with granite counters, professional ranges, and an outdoor veranda. After each lesson you feast on the delicious meals you've made, so be prepared to cook, eat, drink and laugh for the next 6 days of your choosing!
Day by Day Itinerary:
The 4 and 6 day classes start together, the longer class simply has additional days.
Day One
• Pickup from the Naples airport
• Arrival at the charming hotel Relais Oasi Olimpia If you are not jet-lagged, you may wish to take a short walk into Sant' Agata to do a little exploring.
• Time to rest before your welcome dinner at the elegant "Villa Oasi" restaurant
Day Two
• A lovely buffet breakfast awaits you.
• In the morning you will head to a local farm, where they have been producing top quality olive oil for years, and where the matriarch has been making mozzarella cheese A tasting of this wonderfully fresh and light cheese follows, with olive oil and limoncello
• Return to the hotel for an afternoon of relaxation
• This evening, your first cooking lesson, followed by dinner with wine.
Day Three
• Breakfast.
• Today's visit to Pompeii ruins by train with an English speaking local guide
• light lunch in a very simple trattoria in Sorrento
• This evening your second cooking class, followed by dinner with wine.
Day Four
• Breakfast
• 9.00 excursion to visit the beautiful Amalfi coast
• Today's lunch will be on your own.
• After your Amalfi tour, return to Oasi for relaxing time until dinner in a charming exclusive restaurant
Day Five
• Breakfast. For those on the four-night program, transfer back to Naples.
• For those on 6 night program, morning free, perhaps to explore Sant' Agata or Sorrento
• Lunch on your own
• 5.00 pm your third cooking lesson. Dinner based on your efforts
Day Six
• Breakfast.
• Departure at 9.45 to visit to the enchanting isle of Capri, weathering permitting
• Lunch on your own
• Return at the hotel at around 16.00
• 5.30 pm appointment in the kitchen to make our pizza dough in only 30minutes
• Relax time until 8.00 pm until your pizza dinner (pizza dough has to rise a couple of hours )
Day Seven
• Breakfast and departure from the hotel to the Naples airport or train station.
Farewell to Chef Carmen and the beautiful location in Sorrento!
Nearest train: Naples rail station (arrival and departure transfer provided)
