14 Day Italy North Continental Itinerary
Day 1 - USA Departure
Day 2 -Arrive in Milan - Transfer to Lugano, Switzerland - Afternoon of Leisure
Upon arriving to Milan airport, a Perillo representative will be waiting to greet you. A complimentary transfer will take you to your Lugano hotel at 10am or 12pm.
Day 3 -Lugano - Panoramic Lake Cruise
This morning we'll enjoy a guided walking tour through the traffic-free historic center. Weather permitting, we'll enjoy a panoramic cruise on Lake Lugano.
Day 4 -Lugano - Venice - Verona
We're off to Venice. But on the way we'll enjoy a quick stop in romantic Verona.
Day 5 - Venice Sightseeing - Gondoa Ride
This morning we'll meet our local expert for a walking tour of St. Mark's Piazza, the great Byzantine Basilica di San Marco, and an inside look of the Majestic Doge's Palace.
Day 6 - Venice - Padova - Florence - Dinner in Hotel
We're off to Florence with a fascinating stop along the way: Padova and St. Anthony's Basilica. Next to Florence! Home of Dante, Boccaccio, Botticelli, da Vinci, and the best gelato in Italy!
Day 7 - Florence Sightseeing - Uffizi Gallery
This morning our city sightseeing will include the breathtaking view atop Piazzale Michelangelo, followed by a tour of the Academy of Fine Arts, the majestic Duomo (Cathedral), Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria and then to Santa Croce Church for an outside view of Michelangelo's final resting place.
Day 8 - Florence - Pisa - Wine Tasting Tuscany - Florence
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is among the most instantly recognizable structures on earth. This morning, we'll see it for ourselves, along with Pisa's beautiful Cathedral and Baptistery.
Day 9 - Florence - Sorrento
Our journey to Sorrento takes us through the rolling hills, scenic vineyards and post-card perfect vistas of Umbria and Tuscany. Soon, we are in Sorrento, high on a beautiful plateau, greeted by the sapphire blue Gulf of Naples and majestic Mount Vesuvius.
Day 10 - Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento
With Naples at our stern and Capri at our bow, we cross the bay of Naples to the world's most enchanting island. Then it's on to Sorrento.
Day 11 - Sorrento - Pompeii - Naples - Rome
Pompeii is the perfectly preserved ancient city that is literally unchanged since the fateful day of Mt. Vesuvius' catastrophic eruption almost 2,000 years ago. Later this morning, we continue onto Naples. A few hours later, we enter the gates of Rome and settle into our hotel.
Day 12 - Rome - Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel - St. Peter's Basilica - Dinner Out
This morning we visit Vatican City including the Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Basilica.
Day 13 - Rome Sightseeing - Afternoon at Leisure
This morning we'll board our coach for a panoramic tour of Imperial Rome including Castel Sant' Angelo, the Roman Forum, Largo Argentina, the Jewish Ghetto, and Circus Maximus. Then we'll enter the Colosseum to relive the brutal entertainment of the gladiators.
Day 14 - Flight Home
