Day by Day Itinerary:
Thursday: Arrival in Rome!
Arrive in Rome and transfer from Fiumicino Airport to the Hotel in Rome*. After check-in, enjoy the rest of the day, including dinner, at your leisure.

Friday: Vatican City
Breakfast in Hotel. In the morning transfer from the hotel to Vatican City for a Prestige tour of the Vatican City and St Peter’s Basilica. (Pick up between between 7:45am and 8:15am) The 4 hour guided tour (with a private English speaking guide) visits the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel decorated by Michelangelo. Proceed to St. Peter's Basilica, to view the art treasures of the largest Roman Catholic Church in the world, including Michelangelo's Pietà. (entrance fee and earphones are included). Enjoy lunch and the afternoon at leisure. Then meet for dinner in a restaurant walking distance from the hotel.

Saturday: City Tour
Breakfast in Hotel. Today we take a 3 hour city tour by bus (with a private English speaking guide) and see the most important sites of the Capital of the world, including: Via Veneto, famous for Fellini's movie "La Dolce Vita", and Piazza della Repubblica with the Naja-di's Fountain, Trevi Fountain till Piazza Navona, Piazza Colonna with the Column of Marcus Aurelius and the Pantheon. Continue by coach to the Vatican, the heart of Christendom, passing by St. Angel's Castle. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure in Rome.

Sunday: Excursion to Naples and Pompeii (about 230 km one way)
Breakfast in Hotel. This morning we head out for a full day excursion to Naples and Pompeii (with a private English speaking guide). First stop is the Abbey of Montecassino, completely rebuilt after the total destruction in the Second World War and the exiting countryside of Naples. Next, we visit an ancient cameos and coral factory in Torre del Greco. Finally we reach Pompeii for lunch and visit of the excavations (entrance fee is included). Pompeii was completely destroyed by an eruption of Vesuvius in the 19 century. At the end, we head back to Rome arriving at the hotel around 8:30pm. Dinner at leisure.

Tuesday: Excursion to Florence (about 285 km one way)
Breakfast in Hotel. Bus transfer from Hotel to Florence for a full day excursion to Florence (with a private English speaking guide). Visit Piazzale Michelangelo, to admire a fantastic view on the city and on the famous Ponte Vecchio with free time for individual visits. Enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we take a walking guided tour to see: Santa Croce Square with the homonymous Church, visit the Museum of Accademia , with the famous Statue of David by Michelangelo. The walk continues to Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (visit) the beautiful Dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistry and Giotto's Belltower. Around 5pm departure to Rome with arrival near 9pm. Dinner at leisure.

Go to Piazza Venezia to see the imposing memorial to Victor Emanuel II. Then proceed to the Roman Forum, the old center of the Imperial City, where the Senate House, the basilicas and the temples of the major gods are located. After walking down the Via Sacra and passing by the Arch of Titus, visit the Coliseum, surrounded by impressive monuments such as the ruins of the Arch of Constantine the Great. The last stop on your tour will be the 5th-century Christian Basilica of St. Peter in Chains to see the world famous Statue of Moses by Michelangelo.

It’s a 3 hours guided tour where you will have the possibility to admire the Quirinal Square, with the Presidential Palace, Piazza Venezia towered by the imposing "Vittoriano". The tour will continue on foot through the Capitol, a unique treasure of history and art, and then the Roman Forum, the most enchanting and important archeological area in the world, the Constantine Arch and of the Coliseum, majestic symbol of the Eternal City. Proceed by bus, passing by the Piramide Cestia, to St. Paul's-outside-the-walls (visit) built where the Apostle of the People was buried.

Full day excursion in Assisi and Perugia
Crossing the region of Umbria we reach Assisi. Visit the Church of Santa Chiara where St. Francis was born. Walking through the narrow streets we reach Piazza del Comune with the Palazzo dei Priori, The Palazzo del Popolo and the Temple of Minerva. Continue to the Basilica of St. Francis with masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Lunch in a local restaurant.
After lunch bus transfer to the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, place where St. Francis lived and died, with visit to the Porziuncola Chapel. Proceed to Perugia, the famous art city known for his University. Here you can admire Piazza 4 November, heart of the historical center and free time at leisure.
