Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrival
Arrive and check-in to the Slow Food Albergo dell’Agenzia in Pollenzo (Bra), a splendid hotel complex created from the structure which also houses the University of Gastronomical Sciences. Time to relax. A traditional Piedmontese dinner in the hotel restaurant featuring some Slow Food Presidia products accompanied by a selection of Piedmontese wines.

Day 2 - Alba, Asti, Pollenzo
Departure for Alba where the Earth Market is held every Saturday morning. Stroll through the attractive square where it is possible to admire, taste and buy the specialties and local products typical of the Piedmont region, with particular attention to small producers, Presidia, vegetables and fruit. A unique opportunity to become immersed in a quality Piedmontese experience and a great introduction to the tour. Traditional lunch in the heart of Alba at the Osteria La Piola. Free time to visit the city. Afternoon departure for Asti for a guided visit and tasting of the exceptional homemade Gianduiotti chocolates and nougat at the Torronificio Barbero, a historical Asti confectioner. Free time for shopping. Back to Pollenzo, for an introduction to the Piedmont “Terroir” with a tasting of four wines from the Pollenzo Wine Bank, combined with a selection of Piedmont salamis.

Day 3 - The Barolo vineyards, La Morra, Grinzane Cavour
In the morning, visit the Silvio Grasso wine cellars, among the splendid Barolo vines for a taste of their extraordinary wines together with some typical local products from Langa. Lunch in La Morra in a typical hostelry, Osteria del Vignaiolo, with a strictly local and seasonal menu. Free time to enjoy amazing views of the surrounding hills from the restaurant balcony. In the afternoon, visit the Piedmont Regional Winery, located inside the splendid Grinzane Cavour Castle. Taste some Piedmont DOC and DOCG wines, concentrating on the Langa and Roero wines, and also sample some grappa and other local liqueurs. Free time.
