In Frascati, in the heart of the Roman hills, enjoy dinner at the Cantina San Gaetano Cellar, which belongs to the Frascati Community of Inns for Mother Earth. Savor dishes which have a strong link to the territory, such as Bassiano ham, cicerchie (a typical local legume) soup and biscuits dipped in wine.
Overnight in Grottaferrata, a short distance away, at the Grand Hotel Villa Fiorio, a noble villa immersed in a park of secular pines dating back to the early years of the 20th century. The villa was recently restored and is furnished with elegant period pieces.
This wonderful experience ends in Genzano, the town famous for its “Infiorata” when the streets are completely decorated with flowers. Tasting of Colli Lanuvini DOC wines. at the Genzano winery, accompanied by typical local products, such as Genzano IGP bread, Ariccia roast pork and baby ricotta cheeses with marmalade.
