ACCADEMIA GALLERY, S.MARIA DEL FIORE, BAPTISTERY, GIOTTO'S BELFRY, PIAZZA DELLA SIGNORIA, PALAZZO VECCHIO, PIAZZA SANTA CROCE
After a short panoramic tour of the northern part of Rome, you will reach Florence. You will arrive in the heart of the city to visit the Galleria dell’Accademia, where the original David by Michelangelo is kept, together with the Third “Pietà” and the Prisons, also by Michelangelo. You will then proceed to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with the magnificent dome projected by Brunelleschi, the Baptistery with the golden bronze doors by Ghiberti and Giotto’s Bell Tower. From here, you will walk to Piazza della Signoria with the Palazzo Vecchio, Florence Town Hall, the Loggia dei Lanzi with the Perseus by Cellini and the Fountain of Neptune. After lunch you will go to Piazza Santa Croce. Free time to visit the church of Santa Croce or to go to shops, such as the ancient “School of Leather”. Departure for Rome.
